Super Bowl 2024

Your Complete Guide to the 2024 Super Bowl: Teams, Tickets, Taylor Swift, and More

The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will face off in the NFL championship, Super Bowl LVIII, in Las Vegas on Feb. 11. Both teams won their conference title games on Sunday to secure their spots in the big game.

The Chiefs, who won the Super Bowl recently and defeated the 49ers four years ago, are led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce has been making headlines not just for his excellent performances in games but also for his notable relationship with singer Taylor Swift, who was honored as TIME Person of the Year.

Usher, the R&B superstar, was revealed in September to be the main performer for the Super Bowl halftime show, sponsored by Apple Music.

"It's a huge honor for me to finally perform at the Super Bowl, something I've always wanted to do," said the 45-year-old, eight-time Grammy winner. He's all set to drop his ninth album, "Coming Home," on Feb. 9. "I'm excited to give the world a show that's different from anything they've seen from me before."

In the past, surprise guests have sometimes joined the main performer, but no official announcements have been made yet. A teaser trailer in January featured appearances by LeBron James, J Balvin, and BTS' Jung Kook.

Before the game starts, there will be a few musical performances: Reba McEntire, a country musician, is set to sing the national anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner." Post Malone, a hip-hop artist, will give his version of "America the Beautiful." Andra Day, an actress and soul singer, will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing," also known as "the Black national anthem." This song has been part of Super Bowl pregame events since 2021.
